Samsung Syncmaster S22b300 Driver

Hello guys, I recently bought a new monitor, the Samsung B2230HD but I am having image quality issue on the monitor when connected to the macbook pro. From the macbook pro, I am using the mini display port to a dvi converter then I have a dvi to hdmi cable that connects to the monitor. Once connected, Mac is able to detect the monitor, but it detects it with a different name 2270hd, though the selected resolution is 1080p. I can see everything on the monitor, but the quality is horrible. The text is blurry/grainy so its really hard to read.
